There is no better place to explore what makes cycling \u2013 in its many forms \u2013 a booming activity and how to grow it further, making the most of digital innovations. In 2026, the cycling tourism community gathers in Utrecht, historically a region of connections. This edition of the EuroVelo &amp; Cycling Tourism Conference considers the interactions between different cycle route networks and partnerships to develop cycling tourism products, as we near the 30th birthday of a prime example of international cooperation in cycling \u2013 EuroVelo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-737a4ab elementor-hidden-mobile elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"737a4ab\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c28408b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c28408b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Subtheme 1 \u2013 Multi-purpose cycle route networks<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b3b2450 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b3b2450\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn Utrecht, you can tell if you are on a leisure or commuting route by the colour of the signposts. Commuters, recreational cyclists and cycling tourists often mix on the same cycle route \u2013 sometimes without even noticing, sometimes conflicting. EuroVelo routes cross both busy capitals and remote areas, connecting with other cycle routes, too. Can one cycle route fit all users? The key to building a successful cycling tourism product is therefore cooperation, at every possible level.
