The EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference is the leading international conference to inform, inspire and connect on EuroVelo, cycle routes and cycling tourism.
It is organised by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) in partnership with a host city or region. Since its first edition in 2012, the event has brought together global experts involved in the transport and tourism sector, including public authorities, tourism officials, cycle route network managers, businesses and tour operators, users and industry representatives, from the hosting country and beyond. The EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference has been held annually since 2023.
The 2026 edition is organised in partnership with Utrecht & Partners, Provincie Utrecht, Gemeente Utrecht and Royal Jaarbeurs.
2027 and beyond
Save the date of the EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference 2027: 29 September - 1 October, Trieste, Italy
The 2027 edition of the Conference will be co-hosted by the European Cyclists' Federation and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and take place in the Generali Convention Center.
Bids to host future editions of the EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference open every year. The bidding phase for 2028 is currently open and closes on 15 December 2026. More information here.
About EuroVelo
EuroVelo is the European cycle route network – 17 long-distance cycle routes that cross and connect the continent. It is the largest cycle route network in the world, spanning over 90,000 km when completed.
The development of EuroVelo leads to safe and continuous cycle routes, serving as the backbone for national and regional cycle networks. It can be used by long-distance cycle tourists, as well as by local people making daily journeys.
EuroVelo is developed and coordinated on the transnational level by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) in cooperation with a network of National EuroVelo Coordination Centres (NECCs). It is an initiative that fosters sustainable transport and tourism policies.
